In South Beach I really like to watch the games at Clevelander, or the Playwright.

Duffy's in North Miami is probably the best spot in town to do that. Get there early if you're going to watch all the games on a Sunday though. Our extensive transplant population fills that place up pretty quickly.

I've gone to playwright a few times. They have beer and food specials for Sunday and Monday night games.

I think they pretty much have every game on. I've never seen it filled up when I've gone to see games. You can always find an open spot.

It's on the corner of Washington and 13th.

I'm not into football and I know this is about South Beach, but any Miami Flanigan's gets packed during games -- very popular spots for viewing so get there early. The 1/2 off happy hour after 9 PM on any cocktail, premium brands included, doesn't hurt either. Good standard bar fare as well at reasonable prices.

There is a nice Flanigans up by Surfside, north of South Beach around Bal Harbour.

Matt, just curious, is that Duffy's place you reviewed still open? Don't they have a bazillion screens?

I might not be the right person to ask, as I seem to be weaning away from Miami.

It's been awhile but I enjoyed Matt's review of Duffy's. I've made it a point to hit that spot next time down.
In regards to The Playwright: it get's mentioned here aplenty but I really don't care for it.
The best sports viewing experience I've had on South Beach has been at Clarke's. Just need to clarify, it was early in the the day. Whatever Tiger Wood's comeback tournament was.

The Clevelander is fine if you're with a group watching it outside. The so-called sports bar is not ergonomic at al,l unless you sit at the bar.

On occasions, I hit Finnegan's on the River. It's not out of this world but it serves it's purpose as a sports bar.

Yeah Duffys is still open. Me and Carlos were there the other night. It gets SUPER packed for football games. But other than that it's pretty open.

We stopped in at Duffy's to try to catch the Seahawk game because they have the NFL Sunday Ticket. We got there 45 minutes early but the wait was 1.5 hours for a table. So, yeah, get your seat early.

We ended up at Toms NFL in Miami Springs. Cool total dive bar for beer. The food was H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E. Whatever you do, DO NOT order the "peel and eat shrimp." Seriously not good.

    Hello everybody!

Are all of you talking about "american football" am I right?

Is there somewhere I can watch soccer? I will be in Miami together with some friends on Saturday 10th (December) and that day will be held probably the best football match which could be seen this moment: Real Madrid - Barcelona, from the spanish league.

I wonder if there is a nice sports bar broadcasting international soccer near South Beach.

    Cheers!

Hi erManue, welcome to the forums! The Playwright's on Washington Avenue broadcasts international soccer games.

just FYI for a match like that make sure you get to Playwright early. It actually gets uncomfortably crowded for big matches like that as that place is known as THE spot in South Beach to watch soccer.

Clevelander at the Ocean Drive is cool spot full of tourists, but I prefer Monty's at Miami Beach Marina!
