I think it is a neat idea. But I like going to the grocery store, I like to watch people interact, couples argue, little kids piss off their parents. I would be losing my favorite part of the day if my groceries came in a truck... :/

Whole Foods has a provisioning program but it's only for boats.

I found this, but haven't personally used it: http://www.mygofer.com

Also, ask the concierge of your building. He/she might know of someone who might do it for you who needs some extra cash.

I like grocery shopping if I'm just picking up a few items- it is fun and I've had 2 people chat me up and ask for my number.. I dread doing a big shopping mostly because of having to carry heavy things like water bottles. Currently in NJ I do the online ordering..they offer unique items other stores don't have-lots of ready to eat and ready to cook items. But..you do have to make sure you're at home because they have a 2 hr window for delivery time, and in 2 hrs you could actually go to the store. Then you have to unpack the everything and break down the cardboard boxes. When ordering online I find I get all the same things, and when I'm at the grocery store I usually buy a few new items. But yeah, the grocery store is fun to people watch!

Here's an article I did on the Publix on 6th and Lenox, close to SoFi

I agree with Dylan. I think I would call for delivery only on emergency cases. Otherwise I like to do my own shopping.

Great ideas all around, but what our forum member needs is to have her fridge stocked with some staples just as she's arriving to visit here. She doesn't sound like a local who would rather have groceries delivered on a regular basis.

With two kids in tow, it isn't as easy to go grocery shopping, especially if you are tired coming off a plane from who knows where. I totally get what she is looking for but unfortunately I don't know of anyone who can help provision a condo besides a grocery delivery service.

It reminds me of Pink Dot in LA.

Not sure why, but the first thing I searched for at beachgroceries.com was liquor... I couldn't find any for sale.

That's bad because Big Pink makes a killing off delivering booze (and porn).

Any word on beachgroceries.com delivering liquor in Miami?
I missed out on that. Never was aware of Big Pink but The Pink Elephant, just down the hill from me on Western amd Franklin were my delivery saviors.

Unfortunately I don't think it's possible. Are you staying at the Flamingo? They have a little store on site..Or, when you're coming form the airport have the driver stop so you can dash into Publix and get a few things, the driver won't mind at all..just say you'll pay an extra $10. I'd take your kids with you into the store though.

Thing's I've had taxi drivers do:
help me move-they had no idea.
When I came to Miami and it was cold the driver took me to a few stores until I got a sweater at BCBG.
They help put groceries in the car and unload them.
Once I was in need of a big mac value meal on the way home and as long as you offer to buy the driver something they don't mind.

You may want to just go to Walgreens or CVS. They have cereal, milk, juice, etc.
