Default Favorite Places For Drunk Food

One of my biggest weaknesses after a night of drinking is eating whatever is in front of me. Every night I go out I seem to find myself at some hole in the wall place eating stuff that I wouldn't touch sober.

So far I've found myself eating a corndog while standing on Ocean Drive, I've stopped in for pizza at some hole in the wall pizza place on Washington, and I've gone to Jerry's famous deli...

Jerry's was my favorite thus far, but I was curious what everyone else's favorites are?

As everyone knows, Big Pink is where I have headed for years. I tend to end up there after 4am ordering fried eggs with french fries (Very English) to soak up the alcohol before I head home.

On rare occasions I have dialed for Dominos Pizza for the two medium pizza deals. (Not alone, with friends! I'm not some secret binge eater lol)

Seriously, this is making me hungry

Cheeseburger, Baby!!! That is my favorite drunk food place.

Another good one is Fortune Cookie. A tiny Chinese takeout place on 6th St.

For pizza, it is either Pizza Rustica or Gino's.

Pepper's is also a great stop for late night food. Yummy Tex-Mex at a decent price.

    La Sandwicherie, of course.

And Deco Sandwiches is good, too. Deco Sandwiches is not actually a sandwich shop, it is a Middle-Eastern diner. Get the lamb Gyro's. Yum.

All of those have good food for good prices, so no reason to gnaw on a stale piece of pizza, anymore.

@ Coach, but Pizza Rustica is pretty good, it wouldn't qualify as drunk food.

For pizza, I like Geno's and Primo's on South Beach and Slice N Ice in the Grove.

I also like the Loggerhead because it allows me to continue drinking. They stop serving food and drink at 5 a.m.

Thanks for the ideas. I went out the other night and totally ignored all suggestions and went to McDonalds. I'm pretty sure I will just keep going to the first place I see.

The other option of course is to not binge eat after a night of drinking, but I doubt thats going to happen...

Mc Donald's is always a good choice! Cheeseburger Baby was my go to spot for the longest time..so good! After I got food poisoning from eating there I'm not going back and haven't had a burger since.

Try Pizza Rustica or Primo's Pizza.

If I were out in the wee small hours getting my drunk on, I would probably go to the Fernandez Fruit Market on Washington and stock up on empanadas or maybe a Cuban breakfast. Puerto Sagua might be a good place to go if you're out before 2 am. Also, the 11th Street Diner would be a good spot.

Taco Bell always gets me, but I also love eating Calamari when drinking, or drunk.

Oh, right, duh, this is one of the best drunk food spots.

The second time we were tourists here (many years ago), we got in the hotel at midnight, went to Level (now called Mansion) till they threw us out at 5am, then went to 11th Street for food. Behind us was a table chock full of models. Sitting there in the diner with the ocean breezes surrounded by models at 5am was pretty much my definition of heaven. After that we went to (old) Space where an Italian man offered to fly us to Italy so my girl could have sex with his wife, and we danced (not with the Italian) till they threw us out into the bright sunlight mid day on Sunday, whereupon we immediately went to the beach.

That was the night I decided I was moving to Miami.

    Good lord, Coach! LOL!

It's not on the beach, but I love the Denny's on Biscayne Boulevard by the 195 causeway entrance. Every crazy Miami character in the world is there and because you're drunk, you don't really care that it's Denny's food.

For "good" late night eats, Gigi in Midtown is a new fave. But that's just trendy ... very boring compared to the atmosphere at Denny's.

Oooh Primos. God that is GOOD pizza. I used to love eating there.

So did Meltzer actually. He went there once for drunk food, ended up throwing the mushrooms all over Teds cos he didn't like them. Drunk food indeed

I remember that. Then again I tend to throw whatever's handy when I'm drunk.

If I'm north of 5th, Pizza Rustica. Primo Pizza if I'm in SoFi. Pita Spice on Washington is a great late-night falafel, which I've done a time or 5.

But I pretty much stick to pizza when I'm drunk.

Katalina, how is the Colombian hot dog different from an American one? And what are arepas? Shame on me for being in Miami 2 years and not knowing this!

Second this one!!! Yummy! Service can be slow, but who cares, right?

Christy, the hot dogs they serve there are loaded and you can order it in different variations. They come with sausage and fried quail eggs plus more stuff.

This style of Colombian arepas are a flat white corn cakes lightly fried (not greasy) and filled with cheese, shredded chicken or beef or any combo thereof. It comes with a spicy sauce on the side (I always have to ask for it). It is filling and the perfect drunk food.

    .
Maria, it's attitudes like that that perpetuate the horrible service in Miami.

I care. That's who. Slow service in unacceptable. Even when drunk.

This thread is hilarious! Drunk mushrooms indeed!

I'm with Doug, I tend to gravitate towards Puerto Suaga when drunk.

I'm also one of those people who drink in the afternoons and is in bed by 10PM.
