Some teams are rolling into the playoffs, while some are elbowing themselves through.

MIA/NYY outta be full of hype. Hope it can last 6 games.

    Playoff schedule >>>>>> http://www.nba.com/2012/news/04/26/p...ule/index.html

As a traditionalist and Laker lifer, I'm rooting for LAL/BOS Final. It can't get any better than that.

The realist in me says it's a slim chance, but I'll hold on to it as long as I can.

I might be a pompous arse, but I don't respect teams that hang conference championship or Olympic banners from their rafters - much less for an athletic trainer.

It's all or nothing for me. #17 at Staples would tie BOS.

Ya... I'm rooting for the Knicks.

Rooting for the Knicks is sooooo hard. Much as I hate the Heat, Knick fans might be the worst of the new York lot. Just because they've had nothing to cheer for for so long it's just pent up anger. I just wish the Heat wasn't SO hyped, it'd be easier to root for them.

The games have been so bad, many are saying NHL playoffs are better theatre.

So it seems the heat have their path greased to the final. Any of three WC rivals can make it a good series.

    If BOS was healthy, perhaps.

You know I'd love LAL/BOS. Doubt it very much.

After DEN, LAL has two more wars to fight to get in.

MIA is pretty much a cinch, unless a inferior team with a bigger heart imposes will.

Lakers vs Celtics,?? Blackford, its a new era, you can't stay living in the 1980s.

Frankly speaking, I took a hiatus from Laker fandom during " Showtime." I didn't like that style of play nor Pat Riley. If I was going to be stuck in an era, it would be probably 72/3.

If you do the math: Lakers/Celtics have combined for 33 championsips. In other words, they have won multiple times in every decade and have more than half to total championships. The DNA of their business model and culture demands they will always be in the hunt.

I admit the Heat has the superior talent and should win it all. I also won't discount BOS. Isn't that the primary reason the Heat manipulated their seeding to avoid them till ECF ? They actually are a better team than they were last year.

The Lakers need luck to get iin the final, they always do. Any team that gets there will need some when to weed through the conference playoffs. Think they got a 33% chance getting in. Boston's chance might be better because only the Heat stand in their way.

LAL/BOS might surprise some people. It wouldn't me. As for today ,getting past OKC and then SAT is going to be hard enough.

I'm not stuck in any era. I already acknowledged Miami is the team to beat. If they don't, Hell is going to break lose. and Riley will step into another easy situation.

Didn't really state anything out of the ordinary any Laker fan wouldn't say. We relish the rivalry - nothing more.. A Yankee fan would say the same, preferring to play BOS for a pennant, than say KC. Same mentality in play here.

We both have to admit though, a Kobe-Lebomb showdown would be a ratings bonanza. That's a far fetched thought right now as the WC is a true battlefield.

Mario - I just saw this commercial for the first time moments a ago.

It's an attitude that makes a Yankee manager wear #28...something if the Marlin's had, they'd have won six WS by now.

THe Marlins have 2 in the past 15 years. I believe the Yankees, Red Sox and Cardinals are the only other ones who can claim that.

The Marlins could have won more if the owner didn't treat his priviledge as an ATM.

It was quite remarkable what they did considering they were looked on like a franchise team back then.

So we've entered the 2nd round of the playoffs and Bosh is out indefinately. They need him vs BOS.
Lakers got it rough with OKC. Think they'll get dispatched. We'll see....

I believe last night was the first home loss for the Air Conditioners outside the NBA Finals in 2 years. I'm not holding my breath for the Pacers, but the A/Cs are looking very beatable.

I hope they don't win it, just to see what moves get made. It's not a market where people are gonna get impatient for a win and the media will be down Riley's throat. They'll just get apathetic.

I'm not kicking a dead corpse yet. Miami still has a fighting chance. In-case they don't, It's not the Miami market that will blow the shi!t up...it's pressure from all over.

As far as Boston, you can never discount "Championship DNA." That is the point I alluded to my previous posts here.

Miami's problem, as mentioned a lot in the media, is that they don't have an actual center. Joel Anthony isn't a real center, and we don't have defense.

Joel Anthony didn't even play in game 5. And here's what gets me...

I am about the furthest thing from a Heat fan. But perusing my Facebook news feed it seems all my Miami friends were like "Well, we're done. It's over. fire Spoelstra." Are they aware this is a best of SEVEN series? I mean I've heard of jumping off the bandwagon fast, but before the series is even over?

Don't get me wrong, I hope they go down in inglorious flames tonight. Just so I'm not forced to root for my beloved former-Sonics. But I'll also readily admit this team can win the next two games.
