Miami Heat, congratulations !
What I didn't want to happen, happened.
I'm posting this before even before the 4th quarter of game 5 starts ticking.
I'm sticking a fork in the Oklahoma City Thunder as well at only basketball bet I've made my whole life.
As I was one of the early folk campaigning Lebron come to Miami ( I've posted here way ahead of the curve,) I was one many turned off by the decision and the circus that ensued the next day at AAArena.
Today, I can discount that as immature kids not knowing any better. In the time since then, I've seen Lebron mature during this season and I respect that. I'm actually glad he's getting that monkey off his back.
So people: enjoy your asterisk championship and be merry.

I'm actually cool with the results. I still actually think OKC is a better team, but their average age of 23 showed up.
I bet a Heat fanatic and guy I spar with all the time. He got me this time, but my team is loaded with 16 championship banners, so I can still piss on his smack This just wasn't the year.
From this point forward, it's going to be a war about who gets Steve Nash. If he takes his talents to SB, my Lakers better be prepared to sell Pickford Mansion, pay luxury tax and get D Williams. If so- Staples is on !
During 06, I celebrated, because Shaq and I left LA to FL the same week 8 years ago and he was my favorite player- even over Kobe.
This year, I can only take my hat off and see you guys and the city enjoy a championship.

Well Blackford, times have changed. Lebron is no longer Lebomb. And he still owes us 6 more championships. OKC will get their day in the sun.

I tried to watch the game, I really did. But as soon as I saw the ford commercial play in Spanish, I flipped out, became White Dade, and refused to watch anymore.

Still can't believe I bought my daughter a Burnie doll that day at the game - and yes, I'm cursed with two Heat fans in the household.

Oh wow, there's a throne behind the AAA. I need to take a picture there too. No worries Blackford, at least you don't have Knicks fan at home.

Mario - On that particular day, Burnie was celebrating his birthday. All the team mascots within the division were there and it took place at the side of the arena. As soon as my daughter caught sight of the mascots, she thought she was at Disney.
That party took away from my game viewing, but some of us overgrown kids still had fun anyways.....

I don't want to say I'm a band wagon fan but it was very fun watching the games for the quarter, semi, and finals. I normally do not like basket ball but the added tension was entertaining. Way to go Heat for a great run this year.

So who went to the parade ?
As much as I'm a diehard Laker fan, I've never been to one in ten opportunities.

My friends went the the parade, and I saw pictures it was neat although some of the players did not see too enthusiastic to be there. lol I can only imagine they want to rest. They worked, wont, partied, were hungover, then parade time.
