A marriage budget is very expensive. It expands even if you have made the budget. I want to know what kind of things can be arranged for a marriage at the budget $2,500?

I never had to plan for a wedding so I don't have any personal experience to share; hopefully other members here will chime in with some valuable info.

Well this was a few years back but there are sunset beach weddings in Key West where a full basic package can be extremely affordable. A couple friends of mine have have beach weddings in Key Biscayne as well as Key West and they were happy with the event. However they did keep it a little low key and there were typically smaller weddings.

Getting married on a beach is a great way to save money. That way you just have the person marrying you to pay for, and sometimes people have friends who can do that.

Mark, how many people will be attending and does this budget include the bride and groom's attire?

The easiest way to massively cut a wedding reception (let's face it, the wedding isn't the cost, it is the reception) is to get married in the morning and have a sit down brunch for a reception.

You automatically cut out any entertainment and your booze can be cut down to just mimosas and bloody marys.

I have about twenty years experience in the event planning business so if you can answer a few questions, I can give you answers.

Is this a destination wedding?

Does the budget include travel?

Does the budget include the wedding attire for bride/bride and groom/groom?

How many people?

Does the wedding have to be on a Saturday (or Sunday if you are Jewish) or are you flexible with the day?

A lot of times you can get a discount for weekday weddings in great locations. Also if a venue has a last minute cancellation you can get a discount.

You can always go to the court, have a shotgun wedding, then actually celebrate the event later on when the funds are higher that is what my cousin did.

The budget can be simple with low decoration and less expensive bridal and Groom clothes with focus on dinner.

I think you can have a beautiful wedding even if you won't spend so much money on food and preparations. I mean what's important is what you feel on that very special moment. That alone can make that very special day beautiful.
