Scott, this is your roommate and you are leaving?
I think we need an intervention. Or maybe a straight jacket.

Bon Voyagee, Scott! I hope you enjoy your cross-country trip to LA, and it's nice to know there will be another sofa out there for me to sleep on! ha ha kidding
I just got back from San Diego (as you know), so it would be a little difficult to make it down to Miami this weekend for your party. I guess I'll just have to leave you with this.

Doug, I probably won't have a sofa, and my tent will only sleep one. But I should have a pile of clothes you can huddle on outside the tent.Originally Posted by Doug
Also, I'd like to say that in my life, I had always hoped that I would leave such a lasting impression on a woman that she would have felt moved to dedicate one of Chicago's classic love songs to me as our time together came to a close. Never did I picture that woman to be you, Doug. You blindsided me, brother. I'm all twisted up in the game now.
I kid. Thanks for reminding me of a great, great song.
Scott,
Gus posted an announcement to your Bon Voyage party, so expect 500 people...j/k.
I'll drop by to meet part of the MB411 gang and see if there's stuff left from the garage sale.
Scott, what time is the party starting/has it already started? I'm going to Wynwood, but I want to stop by after we are done...
It starts now. :) Come.Originally Posted by Christina

The party was great. Scott, you will be missed! But looking forward to following you on your adventures across the country.

I hope you guys had fun!!! I wish I could have made it but I got off @ 10:30pm then had already committed to a good friend of mine's bday bash at DOLCE. I missed your bon voyage partay and burger beast's bday as well... I know you guys sent off scott in a great way so I hope you have fun and most importantly.. BE SAFE!!
It was a good time. Usually, whenever I've hosted a party, I've always regretted afterward that I wasn't able to spend more time with each person who was there. This party was different, with people coming throughout the night at different times, small groups of people huddled in the courtyard, in the dining room, on the patio...
It was a good time. I'm glad those of you who were able to make it came out. Please don't post any photos of me. :)
Not even the photo of you next to the bike with all the palm leaves? It came out really nice!

Yes, let's see a picture.
Scott chose a departure date. He's leaving on Friday, April 18.
And he still has a few choice items for sale:
Scott also has two sofas and some nice bedroom furniture. It sunk into me today that I have more to get rid of than I'm going to take. I began to think today about my personal possessions and what I will do with the possessions that don't go with me. A collection of items. I had a yard sale yesterday (as you know) and sold some books, sold some LPs, sold a couple of chairs. That really didn't make too much of a dent. In fact, I had a party last night and people asked, “Didn't you have a yard sale today? There's still a lot of stuff here.” There is.
Hit him up, if you need some stuff.

Thanks for those links, Carlos. They help put Scott's trip into better perspective, for me.
Yesterday, Carlos and I got to help Scott leave for his trip. We followed him in my car, off the beach, to a camping store in Miami. After that, we trailed Scott down SW 8th Street to Tamiami Trail, where we said goodbye.
Driving across Tamiami Trail was much more intense than I imagined. Since Scott's scooter tops out at 40 mph, so he's constantly getting passed by cars.
At around 8pm, Michelle got a call from Scott. He made it to Naples just fine, and was happily watching the sun set in Marco Island.
I believe he plans to ride up to Tampa, today.
Yeah, I'm tired. I'm in Sarasota right now. About to check into the hotel. No camping tonight, I have work I have to do. :( No wait, :) .
Here is the video Gus and I shot on Friday as Scott left town.

Carlos, I've tried watching the video from 3 computers, but it won't play. Any advice?
