Gus, this is amazing, congratulations. Committing to big changes is hard, but once you do it, I really believe it can make life so much happier and more fulfilling. I'm really excited for you!Originally Posted by Gus
Not because of Scott (though he IS awesome and inspiring), but I have been trying to make some big, positive changes in my life, too. Lack of exercise is a big problem for me, so I'm taking up raquetball (have courts nearby), and would do tennis if I had a regular partner.
I too want to get involved in community activities. I have to revisit some info I had saved on organizations that interested me.

I saw there was a nudist resort somewhere around brooksville. Debated staying there just for the experience. The awful, awful experience. No offense to nudists.Originally Posted by Doug
You should've! Among all the fat, middle-aged nudists, you would've been a hot babe! :)

Heh. It DID come off as back-handed, didn't it? But Scott knows I think he's a hot babe no matter what. ;-)

Scott made it to LA everyone! He made it yesterday... and then fried his laptop with some wonderfully sugary coffee :(
Scott's in LA 5.22.09
If you have been following his trip, his pictures are absolutely amazing!!
Congrats to Scott! Thanks for all the photos, videos and sharing the journey.
w00t! I knew he could do it! Way to go, Scott!

I'm so happy he made it safe.
Congratulations, Scott! You are a totally hardcore dude. Your hardcoreness is an inspiration to us all.
I lost track of your trip on Day 16 and 17. I'm going back and reading your posts now.
Funny how this all was brought to our attention by Coach that was asking if it was a joke... Then it turned in to a going away party... and now he's made it to LA. I'm so happy this was able to take place!! Scott, you're awesome.
I left my congrats on his site and offer them again here. I hope he will continue to write about his impressions of LA now that the journey's over.
He'll have to take the Route 66 way back...
