They should all accept coins but it's much easier to use Sunpass because otherwise, it takes forever.
The tolls down here won't accept any out of state toll pass.

Some toll plazas are SunPass only, but they are marked as suck and you know not to use them. But I have paid with pennies before, so you should be fine.
Just out of curiosity, what led you to believe a New York toll pass would work in Florida?
well, I can use my EZ pass of NY in CT and MA too... that is why i thought if it is valid in FL too...

It's not a hassle to get a sunpass like it is to get and deal with an ez pass...you just get a pre-loaded one in a gas station store. The rental car I used had one already. As far as toll passes fl is ahead of ny, plus it's called a sunpass which is cute!
You can use that ez pass in NJ too!
