Default The Official Welcome to Miami LEBRON JAMES Thread

It's not official yet as 1 July is when free agents can entertain contracts with NBA, but Stephen A. Smith, MBA's ultimate insider got the down low that Lebron has already made up his mind. He's going to Miami Bitch.

This is HUGE ! HUGE ! HUGE ! windfall for the city and all her residents.

Though I'm a die hard Laker fan, The Heat has always been my adopted team and I welcome the news.

This is very huge. This could be the beginning of a dynasty. Of course we said that when Shaq signed on.

Wade even canceled his meet up with the Nets for this Friday.

The other news is Chris Bosh is also comming. It will definately be a dynasty.
I had this inkling for some time. Hope it really pans out.

    Unhappy Conflicting Reports

    UTS,

Don't mean to rain on Miami's parade but:

A different source, perhaps not as reliable, yesterday, had LeBron and Bosh going to a team that plays on the shores of lake michigan called..............................Da Bulls.

Perhaps you're right, it would be great for miami!

I guess there will be many rumors until the ink on a new contract is dry.

You're right about Da Bulls being the other competitive suitor. Everything hinges on where Bosh goes. Even though the CHI has a future Elite player in Rose, Miami's going to hold on to Wade and Riles is going to step back to coaching.

Didn't the Bulls recently let go their coach. That's a big minus.

Big factor: FL = 0.00 state tax on $30,000,000

Dear Mr. James and Mr. Bosh,

We'd like to warmly welcome you to Miami.

You and your families are going to have a wonderful time here.

Don't get me wrong, Chicago is a beautiful city, but the winters are tough and the team hasn't been the same since Mr. Jordan and Mr. Pippin left.

You guys are gonna love it!

You could live down in Pinecrest, 30-minutes from the Arena, or do what Shaq did and live on Star Island, which is only a 5-minute commute.

Don't forget to offer the complimentary 411 Tour to his entourage.

Lebron will will do to Miami what Crocket and Tubbs never even dreamed of.

I've seen Lebron play in a few games and he's super fun to watch! He's my favorite player...yay for Miami!

    I'm calling it now....

Le Bron and Wade are both Staying put. Bosch will be the only guy to go anywhere interesting. Think about it, there's only one ball. Shaq and Wade were complimentary players. But a team with two shooter/dirver scorers is going to be a disaster. I think every message board with and sort of homerism on it thinks LeBron is going to their team.

    Absolute silliness.

I appreciate what you're saying: but did you see them play together in Beijing ? I was listening to SAS on my way to church today. When he said he had the 411 on where Lebron was going in 20min, I sped my Hail Mary's and got back in my car on time to hear what he had to say..... Hope it's true. SAS knows his NBA but sucks at everything else.

The Miami Herald picked up the S.A. jackson scoop .....
(UPDATE) Stephen A. Smith - Miami to land LeBron and Bosh

We interrupt this vacation to report that the NBA Free Agent frenzy has begun!
Stephen A. Smith of Fox Sports Radio and the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that LeBron James and Chris Bosh will join Dwyane Wade in Miami this upcoming season.
I will be speaking with Stephen A. Smith momentarily and update this story.
So, please check back frequently for an update.

The Olympics is a totally different deal. Hey, we'll see. I don't like superstar-laden teams at all, so I'd prefer that all the big free agents go different places to actaully make the NBA insteresting for a change.

That, and Steven A is not exactly the Nostardamus of sports.

Ouch! Leave Crockett and Tubbs out of this! I am a die hard fan of the television show! Plus the show did help revitalize tourism and some of the historic buildings were restored, as a result, of the show as well.

Yup. 2 days ago the big scoop was Lebron to da Bulls. I don't think he's staying put though. He wants to win it all and that ain't happening with the Cavs

I'm waiting for the pro athlete who comes out and says "You know, I really don't care about a championship all that much. I'm doing this to make a lot of money. Period."

That's a guy I'd actually respect. I'm expecting an NFL wide receiver to be the first to make such a statement.

Not everyone is trying to maintain themselves as a global icon, but I'll tell you you who doesn't give a shit. How 'bout Demarcus Russell ? Got the highest rookie contract ever and told Al Davis - " f-u"

Finally, someone told Al Davis to eff himself.

I'm not sure Al even knew who was talking to him at that point. Can he just freaking DIE already?

A Newsday reporter is reporting that Lebron James will indeed sign with Miami. An ESPN reporter also stated this on Twitter.

Sources: LeBron leaning toward choosing Heat

I'm thinking we should organize a Miami Beach 411 gathering for opening day. That's going to be a huge game.
