Club 50 at Viceroy Needs a New Copywriter
I thought this was funny ... incorrect use of the word "inflected" by a super-posh, swanky Miami spot.

On the other hand, their happy hour and drink specials on Friday are a great deal. It *is* a lovely location.

Maybe the creative staff and editor was trying too hard to emulate their main competitor ( Mandarin Oriental ) across the bridge and cheesed it.
The Viceroy looks real nice. Chunche and I have sniffed around it's grounds a few times but never ventured inside. Deserves better attention on my part.

I'm just glad they did not say "asian-inflicted". Must have meant to write "asian-influenced"...

At least we can ascertain Maria is happy that the pool ambiance at 50, doesn't share the Easter Island Inflected feel just fifty stories below.

Haha, I think I remember reading Maria's views about those statues last year.

Hmmm, would have been better if it said "Asian Infected." Although I don't know if anyone would believe that in Miami. Los Angeles, maybe.

Back in the day, they'd only allow Asians and Blacks to plunge in the Oiympic Pool of 32, now public, on Fridays, as the schedule to shock the poll was Saturday morning.
The issue back then where the Nips & WWII. It has been proven since some time, they are the most hygenic people on this planet. Littering in Singapore is on par to being a mortal sin, yet some in the region eat stray dogs. It's a mixed bag in that part of the world.

common use of word inflect/inflected/inflection
Absolutely! They should've used "inspired" or "influenced." Although honestly I've seen that pool and that rooftop bar and I can't quite pinpoint what's Asian about it. It's lovely but it didn't strike me as particularly "Asian."
inflected - (of the voice) altered in tone or pitch; "his southern Yorkshire voice was less inflected and singing than her northern one"
Here is my article about those g*d damn statues! sex and the beach: Around Town: Icon at Brickell/Viceroy

Now be nice Maria. I have become fond a a couple of them and have even assigned them names. My dog has even claimed a few by leaving his markings. It was a matter of getting used to them and learning each one's personality. They have plenty to say and I listen. Just mystery talk basically, like the Circle they cohabitate with. I'm sure one day they'll share me the secret of the circumference.

I still think about Mr. Hanky every time I drive by there ...
BTW, Miami Circle park is under construction! 12 years after discovery, public to get Miami Circle access
