We all have a mental picture of who we are, how we look, what we're good at, and what our weaknesses might be. While I was always a popular and outgoing teen, when I was 20 years old I entered the world of Adult Movies and it was pretty intimidating. However, its always been my philosophy "One life is not enough" so I just said to myself, alot of other guys would never have the courage and dont look as good as me, so they probley wouldnt get this lucky oppertunity. We develop this picture over time, starting when we're very young kids.
The term self-image is used to refer to a person's mental picture of himself or herself. A lot of our self-image is based on interactions we have with other people and our life experiences. This mental picture (our self-image) contributes to our self-esteem.
Every day I thank god for giving me my looks and brains. Does anyone else on here realise that they lucked out in life with looks and brains? And just because you dont agree with my thinking doesnt make me wrong... freedom of speach means you dont have to agree with everything I say.. I can still say it. Are you surrounded by people who try to bring you down and be negative?
I have been surrounded by haters for years, they come into my life...see that I have so much more then them going for me... they get jealous and try to bring me down. Ive gone through this so many times, people are so fake.
Instead of them wanting to be my friend or lover they end up becomming my enemy...pretty sad for them. Im living my life to the fullest and they can kiss my ass.

I'm glad you're loving Miami so far. I've met a few people from Russia who live here. It's interesting how being in Miami can give you a fresh perspective on things. I definitely think good looks are an advantage here..especially in the service industry.
I agree with you at the point that Miami is a great a place for those looking for inventing or re-inventing themselves. Enjoy your stay. BTW, you look a bit like one of my nephews, he's about your age, too
But I'm also curious: what made you post your brief life story here? I'm also new to the forums but would think twice before giving out myself like that to a group of total strangers. (Of course, everyone is being extremely nice and helpful here - but that's not the point). As I mentioned in one of my posts, I might be a bit paranoid, or perhaps others are too trustful?
You don't have to be a common standard "good looking" person to have very high self-esteem. How you feel about yourself is all in your head.
I have found that some of the most good-looking people suffer from terrible self-esteem, subjecting themselves to eating disorders and displaying all kinds of insecurities, which is really not a pretty picture as far as mental health is concerned. And while it's important to look your best, being obsessed about looks is already a huge red flag. But hey, if you have it, why not flaunt it and why give a sh*t about what anyone else thinks?
I'm not saying all "good looking" people are like this, but I've met many who are.
Anyway, it's when you get older and accept yourself as you are that you really start to feel comfortable in your own skin and don't let the world around you influence how you must feel about yourself. Self-confidence yet being humble are two very sexy attributes in any person, I think.
At the end of the day, beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. A "good looking" guy who doesn't have more to offer than his looks is a total bore in my book and will never get my attention. What makes a person beautiful is the whole package.
you're absolutely right Maria. People don't get to be that good looking by not being unhealthily obsessed with it. So it's kind of a double edged sword.
Self-confidence yet being humble are two very sexy attributes in any person, I think.
So true, so true!!!
@Luka Magnotta
Also to think that your life is full of people who envy you and hate you, because they are not as priviledged as you is.... somewhat paranoid. People who are full of themselves tend to be hard to get along with and if everybody around "hates" you, maybe it is a hint to reconsider certain aspects of your life philosophy.
Now, I am not saying you have a problem or anything. I dont know you at all, so please dont take it as critisism, I am just throwing this idea out there

You mentioned that you entered the world of adult movies. I've found that people who make money based on their looks share your point of view (although many of them don't like to be alone with themselves). You will learn that your "strong self-esteem" is actually unattractive to most people in the real world. Not that everyone is a "hater"; it's what's underneath that makes for a lasting friendship/relationship.
I'm reviving this thread because I was watching the news today and saw a small item flash by about a murder in Canada. The face of the suspect looked familiar, and sure enough it is none other than out friend Luka from two years ago. You can read about it here:
A porn actor is wanted in a gruesome case of dismembered body parts that were mailed to different places including the headquarters of the Conservative Party of Canada, police said Wednesday.
Luka Rocco Magnotta, 29, is wanted for homicide, Montreal police said at a news conference.
According to an official close to the investigation Magnotta worked as a porn actor and there is video of the crime.
What next, the exhabitionist charged with shoplifting?
OMG, I was just reading about this this morning! I had no idea this guy had written in our forum! Yeesh! I was reading that before he chopped up this guy and sent the body parts to the Conservative Party Headquarters in Ottawa, he used to make videos of himself killing kittens. Wow. Small world. In a scary way.
Luka, if you're listening, be a man and turn yourself in. Show everyone you are the strong person you said you were when you moved to Miami. You did a horrible thing, but G-d will forgive you. Show the world how confident you are. Call the police and tell them where you're at. Give up peacefully. Think how infamous you'll be. Own it. This is the only solution.
I noticed there were some Miami photos on his website, but the IP address he used when he posted here shows he was in Toronto, Canada at the time. Maybe he just wanted to say he was moving here to get the conversation going.
He also started another thread on our forums here, where he talked about buying a new car and wondering if anyone would like to meet up with him to go for a drive....
