Wow, that is a LOT of coke. I googled the story though and couldn't find it? Where did you hear about this?

Good to see we're back on the coke-importation map. I was starting to think this recession was due in large part to NAFTA and the Mexican border.

And I'm gonna go ahead and guess there were actually about 6000 lbs on that boat. Those seizures always seem to come up a little light.....

seriously whos goin the destroy the whole 80m worth. the 50 involved just take 1m worth n its a healthy xmas bonus. we had a similiar situation happen in australia on the gold coast last year were cops were raiding known bikies then selling the impounded drugs to rival gangs for half the price. everyone was makin coin till the station got raided by the CJC (police corruption unit) and they were being watched for years supposedly!

I wrote a story about the Port of Miami a while back:

Port of Miami - The Cruise and Cargo Gateway to the World - Miami Beach 411

The security there is so state of the art, it's hard to picture that much of any kind of contraband making it through. Surprisingly, the number one country that does business with the port is China!
