Miami Beach Movie Night: The Fantastic Mr. Fox

The movie starts tonight at 8pm. Soundscape is at the corner of Washington and 17th St.

What is this event exactly? Is it an outdoor thing, or a theater, or a premiere or what?

Matt: outdoor movie event. It's the same as last week, which was Avatar. Tonight, it's Fantastic Mr Fox. It'll be shown on the wall of the New World Center and the park sound system will reproduce sound in surround.

I'm not going tonight rtoledo! Just cos it is a kids film, and I have somewhere else to be. Maybe next week for Grease

Are you still running the sound there for Wednesday nights?

Jess: I'm not running the sound tonight, someone else from the staff is. I may do it for Grease, but that will depend on my work schedule.

The only movie I'll definitely be there for is Wall-E, but that' not until May.

I went and saw Big last week and it said the following week (yesterday was Sound of Music) which was the original calendar.

I just looked at the CMB website and it said last night was Fantasia... did I miss it?

They said it was Sound of Music last week when big ended... what happened??? I had Fantasia down for later in the month on the original calendar.

Jess: Sorry but that's CMB. New World has nothing to do with this other than hooking up the system for playback. Keep an eye on their calendar as they can and will change the schedule.

Ugh typical Miami. Can't organise anything right

I just wanted to say I LOVED last nights showing of Wizard of Oz. I have never seen it on the big screen and the crowd that came to watch was huge. From little kids dressed as Dorothy to grandmas sitting in picnic chairs, it was quite a scene plus it was nice to see the many gay couples attend thanks to Judy Garland being on the screen. It was a really nice evening and everyone left singing and smiling
