Default Staying in SoBe or SoFi?

    OKAY ladies and gents....new question:

    SOBE vs SOFI???

    How far are both locations???
What does each have to offer as far entertainment, clubs, beach, malls and etc?
From a hotel aspect, which area will keep me centrally located to events in miami?
Will either location require a car??

I have found amazing hotels and vacation rentals in sofi.........and I wondered how far this is from sobe.

    Thanks in advance for input!!!

Sobe and Sofi are practically the same. Sofi just means "south of fifth street" but it is South Beach. All of Miami Beach is a series of islands. The South beach area is roughly 1 mile wide at its widest point. From sofi (1st street to 5th street) to the northermost section of south beach (roughly 23 rd street) you are looking at 23 blocks and just shy of 3 miles. That Hilton you were looking at before is in sofi. Sofi is a little quieter than the the party & touristy areas of south beach but it's so close it really is just six of one, half dozen of the other. There is a 25 cent bus that you can take that loops around the island. Also it's so small an area you're talking about it really makes no difference as far as getting to the mainland.

You will not need to rent a car unless you plan on going a lot to the mainland.
