Stayed at the Flamingo, but wondering about other options?
Hi everyone. I spent a month last winter at the Flamingo. I rented a beautiful condo in the south building and would definitely go back next winter. I enjoyed the gym and the pool a lot. I also liked that it is a very close walk to Lincoln Rd.
I wanted to see if anyone would recommend similar or better accommodations. I would like a 1-2 bedroom condo to rent for a month at the end of February to the end of march 2013. A pool would be great, and also a gym nearby. I would like to spend under $4k for the month. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Sometimes I also looking for vacation rentals..
between 3 & 4 k you'll find nice accomodation at the Decoplage (100 Lincolnd Road) with direct access to the beach..
or shellborne has also nice aparments...
or @ the gansevoort hotel..there are a lot of vacation rentals for a reasonable price.
all this accomodation have a swimming pool, direct access to the beach, and very close to lincoln road..

Those are good suggestions by Toni. At the Shelborne, stick with the townhouses (numbers begin with T) or lofts (begin with L). The gansevoort is same as Roney Palace, part of which is a condo and part of it the new Perry hotel.
Re. Flamingo south tower, I'm glad you liked it, but I think that tower is restricted to 6-month minimum rentals. Many owners ignore that and rent for shorter terms, but you do run some risk of being evicted.

Didn't someone mention in another thread that the Flamingo was going to be renovated completely, and for that reason, they were only giving short term rentals?

I think that was southgate towers, not flamingo.
