Shore club or Surfcomber?
Hi me and my friend are coming to Miami in September (from London) and wondering what hotel we should stay in... we like the look of either the SHORE CLUB or SURFCOMBER?
We are both 23 and looking for a fun but nice place to stay - in a good location - near to the shops and clubs!
The surfcomber looks really nice - and the pool looks amazing!?. We have also heard about the pool parties at the Shore Club - can non guests go to these????
Please can someone advise!
Thanks!

Non-guests can go to the Shore Club pool parties, yes. Otherwise they wouldn't get so big!
I'd say Shore Club is a nicer hotel, but you can't go wrong with either one. Both are in a good location and both are nice places and good for your demographic.

I think the hotels are about the same. The Shore Club pool party is every week, and I think the Surfcomber is also, but I don't ever go to their parties unless there is an event on so not entirely sure. I went to the Shore Club party for my birthday and had a blast, so I'd probably choose that as their pool is bigger and they have two of them.

Hi londongirlgj!
I highly recommend the Surfcomber. It was recently re-done and is a Kimpton property; it is very upscale. Matt is probably thinking of the hotel as it was before the renovations. Service will probably be better as well.
Hope this helps!!

Both are nice with good location (though Surfcomber's is better by a couple of blocks). If you want a party stay at Shore Club, but the Surfcomber is a better hotel with better service.

Has the Surfcomber changed in anyway since it lost it's Hilton flag ? - just asking.
I would suppose that, that change would have been for the better.

Yes, it was completely renovated. It is now a Kimpton Hotel - same owners as the Epic.

Glad to hear that. It's amazing how good and how liberating it is to escape the clutch of a major brand/franchise.
OK - I'm confessing I have a anti-Hilton bias, even though I still like their units on Ocean, between 13 &14. No pool but location and price seem reasonable for larger units.

Hmm, I like Hilton but I have to confess I have an anti-Marriott bias.

Shore club because it is more of a true South Beach hotel like the Delano or Sagamore. You would be happy with the Shore Club and the pool on weekends is filled with hot people....
I'm pretty sure only non-guests can use the pool on Sunday afternoons, and even then it is Bouncer's call whether you get in or not.
