Default Bostonian snowbird wants to meet the locals

Just moved here from Boston for the winter. First time doing this and can't believe I didn't do it years ago! I'm staying in the Flamingo. Love it here so far and may even stay longer. I'm here all alone so I'm hoping to meet some locals, make some friends, and do as much as possible while I'm here.

    Hi Coolerkid,

If we have a meetup, info about it will be posted a month in advance.

    Hi Boston local!

I moved here alone and knew absolutely no one. I met friends through 411, going to starbucks and hanging out, chilling at my local bar and going to the beach. The more of these things you do with a normal routine, the more you will meet other locals

    Hi coolerkid,

You asked me about meetups and they'll be posted on the site..How do you like living in the Flamingo? You should venture to South of Fifth and have dinner at Clarke's and maybe Happy Hour at Monty's. They're both great spots with lots of locals. I would think you'll meet lots of transplants at the Flamingo pool as it's a favorite of those relocating to Miami. Do you have a pet? Walking a dog in the park is another nice way to meet friendly locals.
