No dogs allowed at the Miami Circle at Brickell???
I just took my dogs for our daily stroll down to the Miami Circle and to my surprise a guy was taking out the poop stations and there was a sign by the city of Miami with a little drawing that says no dogs, what happened?
I loved taking my pups to the circle, now I had to take them to Brickell Park where it is more secluded

My dog pisses on those weeds that bound the circle when we're down there. I have never noticed any signs and I've checked. He even pisses at those potato creatures and sits at the lounge couch at Viceroy's valet area with their security's blessing.

If I'm not mistaken, Viceroy/Icon provide doggie bags in the public area next to Flager's/Brickell's old place of worship. The empty lot with a kid station.
I know as a fact, tenants of the Viceory/Icon walk their dogs near the cirlce day and night.
As I have never seen a sign, is this something new ?
If things are getting strict, and if it ain't a bother, the " Island Walk" on Brickell Key is very dog friendly.

The signs are bright orange and blue by the drinking fountain and on the other entrance by brickell park, I saw them yesterday and the poop stations that were by the circle are gone too. I know it is a historic thing but the dogs were allowed, in fact most of the ppl that go there is to walk dogs, I live at 500 brickell and I go every morning that's why it surprised me.

I could only assume it has to do with the area being a burial ground as Michelle mentioned.

yes it is a sacred burial ground. actually all of the park is, not just the circle.
dogs were allowed as a courtesy, but privilege was abused because owners would allows the dogs to piss and defecate on it, and thus revoked.
and yes, it is privately-managed. not owned by the Icon, the city, or county.

I'm all for restricting dogs to certain areas only, dogs should NOT be allowed everywhere and anywhere.
