I would say the UK gets the easiest access to the United States, other than Canada. It can prove nearly impossible to get a simple tourist visa if you are from some parts of the world.

Sure, the Brits are welcome to vacation here, and spend all their money in this country. But to move? They make it very hard. Britain is not included in the visa lottery.

The U.S. makes it difficult for all nationalities to relocate here. Hell, we make it hard for most of the world to just visit. I believe the main point of the visa lottery is to theoretically diversify the nationalities of those wishing to apply. This would imply that the countries ineligible to take part in the visa lottery have previously seen a high volume of their citizens emigrate to the U.S. (and now the U.S. is giving other countries the chance)

Hey, I'm not complaining. European countries would do well to follow the USA's example about tight border control.

    I'm in that boat.

This is on the waiver programme right? Isn't it valid for 2 years? Won't they ask questions if you keep on staying for 90 days?

I am here as a tourist. But they probably will be suspicious at some point.
But I am here as a tourist and do not work here, I just spend all my money here.
