This is another one of those "duh" articles I see about Miami in the NYT from time to time. I suppose it's interesting if you don't live here, but definitely something everyone who's here already knows. Kinda wonder why it's news.

Exactly. But people do find Miami fascinating when they don't live here. We're so jaded lol.

Miami is changing for the better and is turning into a world city with businesses and young skilled talents ... that's a very good news.

I have to agree with Matt seems like nothing new to us. However since the NYT is read widely across the US I am sure it is news for somebody some where... just no body near Miami.

Read that yesterday. Major take is it's time for Cuban Gusanos are dying off and influx of South Americans slowly taking over reigns of local power.

I've been saying that for some time.

yeah, but those gusanos sure make good cigars, coffee, and rum (and are great mechanics)....or, at least were, in the old country.

Maybe in Brickell and Little Havana. But get further West and it's still majority Cuban everywhere you go.

It gets me every time i get to Miami how Latino dominated that city is. Its fascinating for a little while, but get tired of it very quickly. In addition, something has really to be done about the kongo driving mentality down there. Insane to say the least!
