    Default Jimbo RIP

After 20 plus years with involvement in Miami, Virginia Key was just a place to shuttle from during tennis at Key Biscayne. It's waters are amongst the most polluted in Miami.a no-go zone. So, I avoided going to "Jimbo's" most of those years. Then came warnings from the authorities for many years it was time to "clamp down."

We eventually went bohemian a few years ago and took a liking of the place and it's spirit.

Mr. Varner ( Jimbo ) passed along the other night. I bode him well on his soul's journey and wonder if there are any true old Miamians left.

Things come in three's. We lost Club Duece stallworth two months ago. Like who's next ? Not too many people to think about that's hanged in Miami for ages. Don Shula ? Maybe Christina... she's done

Sad day when they lost the bar too. I wonder if he'd still be alive if it was open.

Ted's hasn't been Ted's for a while though. Like an old relative who starts to lose it towards the end. Last time I went they had a craft cocktail menu. WTF???

And Scotty's is closed. Sad day as well.

Between Mac Klein and Jimbo it certainly is very sad.

It's gone but was told it's almost the same now operating as Grove Bay Grill. Hope it's true. Will find out next week.

Well they always made cocktails though. You just drink beer and liquor so wouldn't notice but I'd drink lemon drops there all the time.
