I've looked at the model at 3rd and Collins. Even the bottom floor is nice. Nice building and great, quiet location.

Sungal, why don't you and Jess become roommates!?
That would make a great sit-com!

I feel like her roommate what with the apartment searching we have been doing.

cable+internet=$100
FPL=$70
Teco= $15
So that's a savings of $185, plus it's much easier to write one check.
I saw it 2 years ago, when they were trying to sell as condos. So they had a furnished decorated model just for presentation purposes. I assume the furniture is nearly brand new, so $1500 sounds like a good price.

The electric bill could go up to $130 a month or more during the hotter months...

Well, I guess my place is small, so the highest it's been is $70. The lowest I ever put the temp is 78, and I turn off lights when I leave. The ceiling fan makes a big difference too. But now with the dog, I leave the lights on and lower the temp when I leave, so utilities included will be great.
So they were selling as condos? When I walked in, there was brand new everything. It looks like they just installed the cabinets..hmmm..the other place is pretty charming though. But the realtor for those hasn't called me back...typical.

Not that you have to worry about this sungal, but utilities included is great for me as I have no credit rating here. So to hook up FPL etc, it would have cost me a deposit as I have no credit. (I read that in Doug's famous article that you have to do that.) Plus one check a month is so much easier in terms of budgeting.

Jess really likes the place I may rent. She assured me she'll be lounging in the backyard when I come home! If I get that place maybe I'll have a tiny get-togeher. Tiny. And we'll have to whisper since I'm on a month-to-month lease. Unless I plan it for when the landlord is away..
I'm planning parties and I haven't moved in!
I am so moving in if you take that one. :cheese:

Just so you know FPL has it, or used to have it, that you could get past having to pay the deposit if you signed up for automatic paperless bill paying on their site.

Good to know. But one rent check is easier, mainly cos I don't have to think about paying bills throughout the month.

I didn't care for the one on 3rd and Collins considering the price, the one on 2nd and Jeff rented for full asking price..so much for a renter's market.
I left my application for the one I want..Now I just wait. I feel like I should've handed it in yesterday, but I was waiting to see a few more. I'm going to see some high rises tomorrow- it doesn't hurt to look. I will be so sad if I don't get this one.

Sounds like a nice place! Hope you're getting a good deal on it. It sounds about comparable with my old place except that it's furnished.
