Hey Tracker, sorry but you cannot delete posts. What's the reason out of interest? They are from so many years ago.

    Dear forum members,

I really need to delete content in previous posts of mine. As a "newbie" poster I do not have that functionality built into the dashboard to edit or delete my posts. To date, my efforts to accomplish this simple task has been met with gentle stonewalling or ignoring of my requests by members of this forum. Forums generally abide by the principle that the poster can take down their posts. Please help me to this...Thank you in advance.

Have you tired PM-ing one of the moderators and explaining the situation?

Yes but unless Gus says ok they're too far back to delete.

Tracker, I can't understand why? you were on a crusade to help people catch this person, so how is it you are in trouble for her actions?

Forums are designed for people to share information and encourage openness. I need to delete these posts. I am not asking to edit or delete another user's posts or other users comments. I don't see what is the controversy is here...If someone in this forum wants to know the actual reason for my request then they can PM me. All I can say it is very very serious.

Can someone on this forum provide a "reason" why I am not being allowed to delete or edit content that I have posted in the past? Anyone...that includes Gus?

    Hi Tracker,

Members can edit posts up to 24 hours after writing them. As for years later, no that is not an option, and I don't have a reason why other than that is how this forums is designed. It means people don't edit posts much later after replies have been made. As I said, you can send Gus a private message to see about getting the post deleted. His user name is Gus.

Think I get you. Three years ago, I posted something here as an FYI. Not a marketing effort to a business I was part of that eventually launched. Just a FYI.

Not sure your reasons. Mine's were proprietorship related and I spilled more here what my legal team wouldn't have approved of.

Blackford obviously isn't my real name, but I solicited and pleaded to Jess & Gus to delete what I previously posted because it appeared on browse searches.

Totally understand you and your presence here was valuable in the case of the scammer. If I was an administer of this site, I'd grant your request. PM Gus and explain your reason. All of us here really appreciate your input in regards to scammer. Valuable stuff, bro.

I need to my previous posts deleted. You can even delete my whole profile and the posts together.

Come on forum contributors...this is a ridiculous rule. The posts were not etched into clay tablets, they are sitting on a server accessible to admin for deletion, etc.

Gus: Please make the phone call or log in (when you can get to it), and take my posts off line. Its not complicated, and it would be the correct thing to do.

    Thank you.
