Classy clubs with a Spanish Influence?
I was wondering if there are any beautiful salsa clubs maybe even some that offer classes? I want something with an international feel vs the spring break feel .

Try to get into Casa Tua on Wed night (upstairs). They say members only but you may be able to get in because you're a girl. The place is one big latin party. Yuca on Lincoln offers salsa lessons.

You can try Bongo's on Thursdays. They offer classes. Yuca Lounge is where Salsa Mia operates from. They offer classes on Wed, Friday and Sunday. Classes arent cheap! Yuca has a classy vibe to it.
Spring breakers generally don't go to the salsa places. Avoid Mango's, which is the most cheesiest place on South Beach.

Thanks so much! I actually dance the bachata. I am sure these clubs provide that as well. Yes Mango is not the classiest place .

Ah, so you already know. Yea the girls in leopard skin outfits and thr guys without the shirts, hmmm. But some tourists love it and seem to think that everyone in Miami is like that.

If you like dancing bachata, you need to hit up Dominican clubs. Skyline on Washington Ave on Saturday nights plays a lot of it. It's not so upscale, but it is nice and very fun club. Check it out.

Is that club even still there?
The Dominican clubs I know are all in Miami. Good to know that Skyline plays bachata! My boyfriend loves dancing it.

Yes, it's still there. Best night is Saturday Night it's $25 Open Bar... that covers your entrance and drinks. There's plenty of bachata, merengue, a little bit of salsa and some open format music.

All sounds great except the $25 for open bar. Non negotiable I assume? I never go for open bars, I can only drink certain vodkas, which no one ever has, so its not worth it.

yes its $25. if im not mistaken if you're there before 12am i think ladies pay cheaper but im not sure... but i do know they charge because its open bar all night. but the main thing is that it's the only dominican style club with bachata and merengue on the beach that i know of.

Oh its a good tip, thank you. I'd be down to check it out if it wasn't for the enforced open bar paid entry on the door. Not everyone wants to drink themselves into liver failure.

Thanks so much! Bachata stems form the Dominican & Brazilian culture. I will check it out when I get into town. I am also looking to take some more Bachata classes if you have any recommendations.

Kukaramakara in Brickell sounds up your alley. You might want to check Carlos Miller's archive for the 411, as I was unable to transfer that page here.
I keep hearing that Mangos is cheesy. If you stop believing that, you might actually enjoy the place. It all depends on your attitude. Must have visited the place with my small group of friends/Colombians from the mainland 4x's and have always had a good time. From someone that has partied in Juanchito, it's really not bad. Maybe going there as a group makes a difference, but I really don't think so.

If you can get into Casa Tua upstairs on a Wed night, you'll get to see all the Spanish dances and chances are a hot guy will be your teacher! That's where I learned the meringue. At first the DJ plays house but after 1am he switches to all Spanish and Latin.
