Stop in Miami

Hello, I am Christian and on vacation in Costa Rica this Moment. I leave here on Monday going back to Austria with a stop in Miami for two days.

Are there any recommandations where the best places are to meet people or is there somebody who likes to show me around?

Two days in Miami, where are you staying? Will you be in South Beach?

Fun places to meet people are The Clevelander, Waxys, Zekes, and Lost Weekend. Buy a drink, sit at the bar and you'll find people to talk to.

South Beach is the center of the action. Hang out at the beach, walk along Lincoln Road, and check out the bars Jess suggested. That will fill up your time quite nicely!

Be prepared for a culture shock when you arrive. That " Pura Vida" vibe you're feeling right now doesn't exist in Miami.

Just be yourself and soak it in at your pace.

Though your social skills might not be a challenge from your current position, you'll have to force yourself more in Miami and be more interactive to atain what you're seeking.

I'd do as others have already suggested. A city tour offered by this site might be good way to spend one of your days.

Aside from that, what places did you visit in CR ? As I'm very familiar with that country... I might be able to suggest a contrast or familarity.

Thanks for the information! I will stay in South Beach, Collins Avenue. So it should be a good place to start...
Any other suggestions what to or or some hints?
In CR I am visting a friend who is living in Nosara for serveral years. Right now I´m back from surfing (or better trying to surf, we Austrians are better on skies ;-) )

I've heard that some Australians could be Great Surfers I guess it depends on what part of the country you live in though.
