What to do on a Friday night?

Any suggestion on places to go on a Friday night (of course on a budget)?
What is the attire at these places (ie.: dress to impress, casual, dress down)?
What kind of music is played?
How much are the parking garages or meter parking?

Fairly new to Miami still and have yet to venture out and experience a Miami nightlife.

I'm not sure she means a club, although it's always good to know what club is hot on a particular night. ANy other ideas for more loungey type atmospheres where the party gets going earlier than a club?

Here's my suggestion on what to do on Friday night!
Go out for free with a nice group of girls!
How?
Use a promoter!

If you are pretty, thin and dress sexy (it is Miami after all!) this solution is for you.

The greatest promoter ever, Tommy Madison, works for some of the best clubs in Miami including Mokai, Set, Louis...etc.

You become his friend on Facebook, then he will send you invites to the clubs he promotes. You text him if you want to go and he will tell you where to meet and at what time. Once you get to the club, he will get you in with no line-up and provide vodka and mixers all night long for free. He gets paid by the club so you just have to be there and be pretty. There will be other girls there, other Tommy's guests, so maybe you can mingle and make friends?

Now, why am I promoting his services? Because last time I was in Miami I thought this was absolutely too good to be true, but I texted Tommy anyway. And guess what? Everything worked out great, and just as promised. Plus, Tommy i s truly a nice person and I'm glad to refer him people :-)

Hi Chynadoll! Do you mean clubs or lounges?

I really like Transit Lounge by Brickell. They have great live music, a laid-back lounge atmosphere and I believe there's never a cover. Parking is meters on the streets or you can park nearby in some lots for less than $10. (See Tobacco Road or Mary Brickell Village for parking.) Welcome To Transit Lounge

I'm in Miami. I'll be a girls night

My fav Friday night in Miami starts at Plunge. Then I'll head to a club, whether it is Mynt, Dream, Purdy Lounge... whatever my friends are in the mood for. Then I like to end up at Waxys or Teds. And if we are hungry, we head to Big Pink for food as it is still open at 5am.

I can gladly say I finally went out and had a Miami nightlife experience, granted it was my first and only night so far. I grabbed drinks at Segafredo on Lincoln Rd. (which usually I'm the patron walking by) and then experienced Mynt.

The night was definitely fun and crazy night. Looking forwards to going out more and making new friends to go out w/.
