Hi, I'm from London where the dress code is probably quite different to Miami so what kind's of clothes are a definite no no? I aread above shorts are not allowed... Can you wear boaters? Ankle boots? Soft material shoes? Can you wear tshirts with big motifs on the front? Tshirts with a low neck line? Depending on where you go in London these are acceptable... Just wondering if they were in Miami too?

T shirts are not acceptable, Miami is old fashioned, or should I say not that fashionable! So all the guys are in shirts. They call them button down shirts here for some reason. Anyways, think old school, and come in jeans, shoes and shirts. Sorry, I know, it stinks

    Hi Karmen,

Really the only way to guarantee entry is by doing bottle service. But..since it's very expensive most people (especially girls) usually just wait in line and hopefully the doorman won't make you wait too long!

Just curious, how do the dress codes apply for butch or very masculine-presenting women? I have a few fairly butch friends visiting town, and I always assumed they could just follow the men's dress code, as they generally wear very classy men's clothing anyways. Another friend of mine didn't think this would fly, and suggested they try to femme up in dresses and heels. Now, my friends are very confident and at-ease in men's clothing, but putting them in dresses would make them seem as awkward as lumberjacks in heels. Not like sexy drag queens. Any thoughts? Or do the clubs only let in lipstick lesbians?

I'd try to femme them up as much as possible. I haven't seen to many butch looking girls in the higer-end clubs. If you know somebody or have a contact there, you may be good to go. But if you can get them to play the role for one night you'll probably have better luck than if they came in mens clothes. Sadly, South Beach really isn't about being "true to yourself."

I broke my foot in August and I didn't even bother going out to the clubs as I couldn't wear heels for months. A walking cast is one thing, my friend did that in Set. But flat shoes? No way. What I'm trying to say is, Miami likes sexy girls in dresses. If this won't work for them, try sexy top, pants and heels.
Sucks, but that's how it is here. Miami clubs can be superficial.

Hi, I'm visiting Miami this September and would like to know some tips on pulling in Miami? I don't know how different it is from England as this is my first time in the US? X

    Hahahahaaaaaaaa.

Does someone need me to translate?

Going on the pull means trying to find women to hook up with.

I liked this guide, really helps. Though "tipping" the bouncer could be seen as bribing or even an insult, I wouldn't try. Rather try to attract attention with a pretty huge smile, that will definitely not be understood in any negative way
The most important and number one advise I can think of (and which you didn't even mention) is: MINGLE at day time. When I stayed in LA we met some awesome people that knew most Hollywood club owners and doormen and almost everybody there. We never ever waited in line but walked right past in and got in straight away, we never paid anything for neither cover or drinks and any other little extra one might enjoy. Seriously, MINGLE, get to know the right people and you'll have it the easiest way

thats pretty harsh, so if your not stick thin or have a "model body" theres a good chance you wont get let in?

to further my advice... if you have made arrangements with a promoter and cannot show up.. my advise is WHATEVER your reason to cancel, just be straight up and tell the promoter, we are more than understanding and its better 2b upfront than to have someone waiting around after all the work they put in... just ain't cool to leave someone hanging like that.. I am sure you wouldn't want a promoter to leave you in the dry either.....YES i do dare say it has happened to me.... and lately to some of my other colleagues..be nice

    party right, party tonight!
