    Default South Beach Bars/Clubs

    Hi,
A group of 5 guys (late 20s) from Scotland heading to South Beach between for 10 days in mid-November. Im trying to do some research to find some good bars/clubs to go to but I dont know where to start!

Were looking for clubs that are busy, not too expensive (dont mind paying a cover but not looking for table service) and well be abe to get in-we could try and split into smaller groups but I think our accents might give us away!!!

Were also looking for some suggestions for good pre-club bars and any sports bars that will show soccer from the UK.

Thanks for reading any help would be much appreciated!

Hi tourist 101, welcome to the forums

    Good bars, ok, here goes:

Normal not overpriced bars include Waxys, Teds, Montys, Finnegans (on Lincoln Rd or Washington, not Ocean), Zekes and Wet Willys

Over priced but still fun good bars include Plunge, The Delano, Smith and Wollensky.

Good clubs are Space, Dream, Mansion, The Florida Room. Hopefully these places won't give you too much trouble on the door!

Does anyone know the names of any sports bars where UK soccer matches will be shown?

Playwright shows a LOT of UK Soccer matches. Waxy O'Conners, across the street, shows a lot too. As well as the Drexel Irish Pub on Espanola and (surprise) Drexel. I'd try them in that order. The Irish pub is also a good bar to hang out in. But none of those spots are cheap.

Zeke's on Lincoln Road has like 14,000 different beers, all $4 each. A good spot to sit and drink before you go out.

Clevelander is a fun outdoor spot too, and a good place to meet girls fro out of town.

Don't go to Mansion. Total waste of time and mostly table service. Same with Dream. Florida Room is nice, as Jess said. That's about the only nice club I've been to recently that hasn't done something rude, or at least made it very difficult for me and a group of guys to get in. Space is great too, but that is in Downtown Miami. Not an expensive cab ride from South Beach, but not in South Beach either.

Sadly, if you're looking for a Miami "club" that's not going to make you buy a bottle or make it tough for a group of guys to get in, your options are very limited. I'd really advise you to skip them altogether, you'll probably have a better time.

I tend to disagree.. its all about what you want to make the night... i wrote an article before on here.. that table service is not how a club makes money.. it does create a vibe...and if you are ten guys you will have a hard time getting into any club unescorted or without table service... the same rules apply in most us cities.. if you are down to have fun at mokai, set, mansion, or cameo.. let me know.. fabian@fabianevents.com

PS - everyon, if you text me, identify who you are... i mentioned this before.. promoters are careful with unknown texts.. we do have day jobs to protect.. .
