Budget bar/nightclub in FL area on Thursdays

Hi all

I just moved to Broward as an international student, so I will probably ask about a lot of stuff here. Hopefully somebody can help me out.

My first question is about the nightlife on Thursdays. Im on a tight budget, but I'd like to hook up with a friend tomorrow to take some beers somewhere around Fort Lauderdale. Is there a recommended place with low prices or any 2x1 promotions?

I would also love to get some tips for a night club with Latin music for young people (20-30) in South Florida.

I don't know about Latin music, but insofar as good specials on Thursday, America's Back Yard in downtown Lauderdale has like a $10 all you can drink or something on Thursdays. College night and beer pong and whatnot as well.

Hi Dino! Welcome to the forums. Besides what Matt suggested, you'll find other bars around the Himmarshee District that cater to a college crowd and aren't particularly fancy.

I also like the Downtowner Saloon and the Pirate Republic Bar, both of which are right on the river. Sorry I don't know about particular specials, but most places do have happy hour.

Timpano's on Las Olas is fancy but they have great martini specials during happy hour.
