Smile Who Has The Best Happy Hour In South Beach?

Like around 4pm-8pm ish or so in that time frame... who has good drink prices and a laid back, happy to be out of work, chill yet fun/lively atomosphere? Would love to hear your expert opinions

There are tons of specials on Ocean Dr. and Lincoln Rd. But, I'd head over to Monty's for the best atmosphere.

Thanks Christy. I've gone for walks at sunset by Monty's and it seemed pretty alive

I'm reviving this thread and making it a sticky. Updates? Still recommend Monty's and the Clevelander?

Default Happy Hour at Haven Lounge

I just received info on a new Happy Hour at Haven Lounge (1237 Lincoln Road):

"Haven is Always Happy" every night of the week between 6pm and 8pm featuring specially priced beers at $5 and select craft cocktails at $7, as well as reduced-priced sliders and sushi at $5, created daily by critically acclaimed executive chef Todd Erickson.

Imagine this is a completely different scene than Monty's and The Clevelander. Anyone been?

I've been here a little under a year and my fave HH place is Finnegans Too on Lincoln Rd. All drinks are half price (including top shelf liquor)). 4-7, M-F. They also have some good chicken wings and fries.

My co-workers and I go there on Fridays when we have a chance. We sit outside, order lots of drinks, and people watch. I find it relaxing.

I don't want to sound out of line, but maybe someone can keep a running sticky of current happy hours on Sobe, with updates periodically.

This kind of info is like gold for me cause I def need to stop by for a drink after work. Once I'm actually a Sobe person I'd be happy to update it regularly.

In the Miami New Times calendar section, they list all the happy hours for Miami/Dade and Broward. You can reduce the search to just South Beach if you want. I think it's mostly up to date, but you can always call the bar/restaurant to verify.

I think that's a great idea for Miami Beach 411.

After a while, you'll probably find some watering holes you'll gravitate too and know their happy hour schedules and specials memorized.

Our friends at Soul of Miami have a list too: http://www.soulofmiami.org/ongoing-happy-hours/

Thanks Maria. We also always recommend checking with the venue first. They tend to change so fast, it is hard to keep up.

South Florida Food and Wine Blog has a pretty extensive list http://southfloridafoodandwineblog.b...periences.html

I just went on SF Food and Wine Blog and these would be my picks:

Daniel Boulud’s db Bistro Moderne Lucky 7 Happy Hour from 5pm – 7pm, Monday through Friday. $7 specialty cocktails, select wines and small plates. 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way inside the JW Marriott Marquis Miami

The outdoor terrace on Friday is the new scene on Brickell for Happy Hour at Café Sambal at the Mandarin Oriental. With the glistening Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline as the backdrop this is the stunning spot to be from 4:30-7pm. This beautiful happy hour offers discounted cocktails and a discounted bar menu. Mandarin Oriental Miami 500 Brickell Key Drive Miami.

Friday Happy Hour at Meat Market 5 to 8 p.m., cocktails, beer and selected wine, are half price and specially priced Crudo items, including fresh oysters with yuzu truffle mignonette, atomic horseradish and habanero sauces ($1.50 each); Chimay shrimp cocktail by the piece, adorned with sweet miso, MM cocktail sauce and 10k Island dressing ($3); a daily ceviche special ($6); and tuna tartare with ginger, soy, avocado smash and mango mole ($8). Meat Market is located at 915 Lincoln Road on South Beach

Doraku on Lincoln Rd has a great happy hour. M-F 5-7. 1/2 priced appetizers (special yummy selection) and lychee martinis, sangria for $4 and other drinks even less
