College tuiton hopes
She's wondering if it will pay the bills ( she's that advanced).
Last night, we turned on the lights softly and got 133 peeps served. Felt like pulling a black tarp over an Irish pub at evening daylight.
Hope she can choose her college, She already knows what she wants to be.
Official opening between 25-39th of the month.
We'll be eating a McPinto at a local McDonalds by then. Help yourselves to a" better burger."
Meet up in due course............................

Very nice. I'll have to go and check it out soon. Are you in town, Blackford? I'm living right near your place now, we should go hit up Brickell one night.

You guys are way too nice.
Remember,we failed with this idea for over two years until the appearance of White Knights. I'm now only a flea on this dog...but their plans look very promising.
The congratulations are misplaced, but I'll take it.
Matt: I did a hit-and-run Sat.eve. Probably head down in Mid-Feb.

Re: College tuiton hopes
So are they open now? Like if I'm in Doral and want a burger can I go in? It looks open from your pics but was that like a one-night trial run?

Re: College tuiton hopes
Late last night, I got a tweet from Burger Beast. His nose was pressed against a window adimiring an in-house training session. Doors were closed.
When I opened this post, it related to a trial run of last Saturday evening. We've also had other various trial runs. Some with the Miami staff in Colombia. To remind some people..this is a popular biz in Colombia. Outside Archie's pizza, which was a favorite of mine, other Colombian fast foods joints are doing very well in Miami. Archie's failed because a Brickell local is lethal. As I'm a student of the original Famous Amos cookie local and it's trivails on Sunset Blvd (LA), it was avoid Brickell or I'm out. ....too eexpensive to run.
Matt: I leave this unattended at the moment. I'll be out of the country next five days. Last I heard, opening no latter than Tuesday, but ready to open as early as Saturday.
Off to a Pipasa joint or a chicorena.
I mentioned meet up. Leave that to me and maybe 2nd locale or third.

Matt: Further calibration is needed with staff, distribution, etc.....
Just heard opening pushed back another two weeks.

Better a late successful opening, than an early opening and failure.

Re: College tuiton hopes
This I promise will be my last mention of E l Corral till I round up for a MB411 meet-up.
After being open for two days, at the close of business, the till took eighteen minutes to crank and tally the numbers and produce the closing tape. They were quite good. Though we don't proclaim having the best burger on Earth, we hit a niche at a soft spot. Only in Maimi.
Since we opened on Wednesday, lines have were forced unto the outdoors at certain hours. The Colombian comminity has embraced it's burger. And we expect a big opening weekend. Mainly on word of mouth which is the still remains the the best form of adversiting and the current approach.
In time that will change as the group gets more aggesive and expands within FL. We're still in diapers.
That said, I was anxious to get the response or opinion of our beloved burger bohemoth, Burger Beast. Here is his take... http://burgerbeast.com/2013/01/31/el...doral-florida/ One of his folloers. it seems, bought into it more ....

It seems favorable, yet you can read some critcism inBB's verse. I appreciate every word he said. It's warranted as we step out unto the turf from the startng gate.
As we venture into something new, this is a business after all and we have to serve all that come. Even if it means you have to form a line to get in.

It's a numbers game after all, but we aim to tweek the product as we expand further into the SFL market.
So far, it's been a great opening and full of promise.
