    Crucifixion vs. Throwing Shit?

(The Wise Tibetan Monkey shares his wisdom)

When you think about all that Jesus went through as well as all those
innocent people who were tortured by the Holy Inquisition, you realize
that's not nice, to say the least.

Isn't it one more thing that we have to learn from the monkeys that
they simply throw shit at whoever they don't like? First, of course,
    try your best arguments.

(I'm sure someone will look for my wisdom among so different opinions. Well, maybe not, but I write in bold letters in reply to two different guys)

"If you die young you'll never reach wisdom," I say.

We can't live like we do, we can't live like Gandhi did, for all wisdom. My model of the jungle, allows for different species to live in different ways, so long as there's a minimum safety net, like healthcare, roof and food. Then the rest is for the individual to reach. What you fancy, shoes? Hey, go for it! It won't be completely sustainable, but it will be absolutely worth living and very much in line with human nature.

How many kayaks you got? Don't you wish for a newer motorcycle? How about the sailboat that you had? A lot of labor went into it, and yet it's entirely sustainable!

Yes, we can go sailing with my middle way. ;)

I quote here this wise reply...

I have all I need to live. My mattress though is on the floor... Japanese style. ;)

No big wasteful house, no SUV, no motorboat, no desire to have them.

I don't interpret John Lennon's song as having no tables or chairs.

    Imagine there's no Heaven
    It's easy if you try
    No hell below us
    Above us only sky
    Imagine all the people
    Living for today

    Imagine there's no countries
    It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
    Imagine all the people
    Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

    Imagine no possessions
    I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
    A brotherhood of man
    Imagine all the people
    Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Commandante, Your new series of posts have me confused again. Maybe you should not assume the reader knows a lot. Just what or who is the Tibetan Monkey? If you don't have a house, where are you living? And what does this have to do with Miami?

Well, I do live in an apartment, not a big house. And this apartment is located in Miami, and the Tibetan Monkey is teaching a frugal way to live.

I know it sounds crazy to preach frugality in Miami, so I post these teaching for the world and send you a copy. It's not really important other than in Miami I'm forced to drive everywhere and that's not very clean. It's not filthy like an SUV, but I still could do better with a bicycle.

But really, all you got to do is ignore my posts.

Monkeys in cages are a bad idea. They grow rebellious and start throwing shit.

Look at me, I could be riding a bike in this beautiful day, but such is life in the jungle. :cheese:

OK, I see your context now. I bike whenever I can, too. Will certainly not be ignoring your posts. Are you using the SUV as a metaphor for all bad drivers, or just for large cars and trucks?

Oh I see. I use the SUV as a metaphor for conspicuous waste and a real danger to others on the road. It's simply crazy, and often it's driven in a reckless way. If they required a truck license for it, at least we would have fewer SUVs and fewer reckless drivers.

Anyway, the issue is that at least we cyclists have our own space and let the rest be.

I don't want to ignore you, but it's so much easier to understand what you're saying when you talk more normally, like this:

Oh yes, but then it wouldn't look like the Tibetan Monkey talking. He must speak in parables and in a language hard to understand. ;)

    Still the message is there.

Perhaps this post clarifies who's this Tibetan Monkey:

The Pope vs. the Dalai Lama vs. the Tibetan Monkey

Well, I'm just an observer of the jungle, where the big players play
their strategic games. But I see it and clear: The Dalai Lama beats
the Pope hands down in wisdom. They only thing he's missing is the
Wisdom of the Jungle, and I will make sure he knows about me. Hey, if
you have any influence with him you may go ahead and save me the
trouble... Tell him, "YOU MUST REMOVE THE JUNGLE BEFORE YOU CAN BE
    HAPPY!"
And I know he has a team of Tibetan monks working on the
computer, so it's NOT like you need a donkey to reach him.

Anyway, last night I was watching this documentary called "10
Questions for the Dalai Lama," and he shared a lot of his wisdom. Very
good wisdom indeed. For example, he said, "Where Science contradicts
    Religion, Science wins."

    http://www.thedalailamamovie.com/

The Pope? Many sheep seem to be happy with him, but unless he can
deliver something in the other world, he got no path out of the
    jungle.

    The Wise Tibetan Monkey says:
"When you don't find a path in the jungle, you are lost in the
    jungle!"

I agree mostly with the last part, but those are corrupt individuals as well as those who resist change because they are afraid of it. I'm all against a gerontocracy, and we live under one with all those clueless senior citizens who vote, but still many people are looking for a path of enlightenment which comes at a later age. It's like sex, some people never get it, some people get better. Never heard of Tantra in my youth. ;)

Now for the question of sustainability, doesn't Holland with a very high population of density and a combination of EDUCATED people, and BICYCLES offer a hope for the world? Isn't America because it's big, the land of SUVs and anything SUPERSIZED?

Well, I admire people like you who are so frugal and use older kayaks or bikes, but I like my fleet to tell this to the world:

"Hey, you may be king at your wasteful game, but I'm king of frugality."

I hate those stupid monkeys who go around with a junkie Huffy riding sidewalks. They make us look stupid and low life. We must educate them to have at least a good bike and be proud of what they do, not be a survivor of the jungle. And, of course, we must absolutely ban riding on sidewalks. I think we must be proud of who we are, "Hey, we are VIP monkeys!"

I have two canoes, one comfortable and compact, the other one large for having guests, one serious British kayak, and one sit-on-top double for the beach. The rest I'm selling.

You know, let's talk about this issue:

 I THINK WE CAN SAVE A GOOD 33% OF ENERGY WITHOUT EVEN DOING DRAMATIC LIFESTYLE CHANGES.

Just doing simple things like going to the supermarket on a bike. That's off the top of my head, but I'm seeing all the waste out there that could be stopped.

I'm very much aware of the dangers in the jungle (I even call it a "jungle"), but that single step would make the roads more friendly to us. Of course, I wouldn't trust the PREDATORS, so I will make sure that:

    a) The bike takes the lane like a vehicle

    b) The car leaves the lane 50' before and after the bike

    c) Enforce such regulations the way the school zones are enforced

    d) Cars speeding on the right lane pay double amount for the ticket

    e) The car is at fault in an accident with a bike unless proven otherwise, like Holland

    f) NO CELL PHONES!

But I'm still craving to do 7 miles to a supermarket or somewhere --

The point is that our alpha-male leaders are predatory and the sheep follow them to the cliff. I was watching the other this documentary about Goebbels and in 1943 --when they were being beaten-- the Germans were in this congress where they chanted, "The Fuhrer leads, we follow." There was no Black Sheep around to tell them Hitler was the problem.

But now we don't know who to blame, if the Pope, the sheep, communism or capitalism... or all of the above.

(This is NOT a full blown attack on the Sheep, just some teasing to move them into action and liberate the monkey from the cage. Monkeys in cages are no good.)

I finally get it: If GW is not man-made, then God is punishing us with it

It's not very easy to follow the "logic" of these Christians who are quick to deny Global Warming as if it was a plot by Satan himself to confuse their simple minds... Anyway, I just realized that if man is not to blame for GW, then they can keep happily driving their SUVs, and --and here's the thing-- God is to blame for GW, which is to say he's punishing us for something.

What is that "something" I don't know, but it may come later when I dedicate my wisdom to these mundane yet important issues.

    Peace, Love & Banana!

I'm thinking of entering Ginger in a beauty pageant. They're really more about other things than beauty these days...For the talent portion I'd like her to dance with your monkey as her partner. If he wants to share his advice with the judges when it's time for scoring then that's fine too.
