Default What's the difference between "General Discussion" and "Off-Topic Chit-Chat"

UTS had posted something about Fred Garvin's favorite quarterback in San Diego being transferred to UM in Travel & Recreation so I moved it to General Discussion. But then I wondered if it would be better off in Off Topic Chit Chat. What is the difference exactly? Does General Discussion have to be Miami-related and Off Topic Chit Chat doesn't?

    Default Hey doug

    That's not my favorite quarterback!

I don't know if I have a favorite quarterback except for the late Sid Luckman.

I know this doesn't answer your question.

    Just sayin....................

General is kind of anything goes about Miami. Off topic is more meet ups, birthdays, and anything random, not related to Miami.

Maybe a new WOTWOT (Way Over-Top, Way Off-Topic) forum?

Rumor has it FG has a new favorite QB since the super bowl - A-Rodg.

Great question, Doug. It starting to seem like the line between the two is getting murky.

To me, the difference between "General Discussion" and "Off-Topic" is, General Discussion is for anything related to Miami. Off topic is for other stuff - pop culture, funny videos, memes, conspiracy theories, politics, sports, sex, parties, meetups, and birthdays.

I'm moving this thread to the "Site Feedback" category.

I like the WOTWOT idea but would also like to add another topic called; MUSES OF A TIBETAN MONKEY.

Thanks for clearing that up! I agree, the Tibetan Monkey should have his own little dominion! It could be a Talk Soup kind of thing, with postings gathered from across the Internet, but all posts must relate to jungle animals and their struggles riding bicycles on crowded highways.
