Pictures don't appear

I've been trying to add a picture to my profile the last few days. The picture appears when I click into my profile, but it doesn't appear when I post on a forum topic. Any suggestions?

the one that appears in your posts is your 'avatar' - it's a separate thing, aside from the profile pic.
so to have it show up in your posts, you would have to also add it as an avatar
