Message inbox alert

Due to not viewing any alert about PM messages when I sign in, I've neglected responding to a few messages.

Do I have to adjust settings or is this something new ?

Just wanted to bring it up as a FYI.

I remember there used to be a way to set up alerts to your email when you would respond to anything.. that was the easiest way for me to keep up with all of the threads. Can we still do that?

Also, My user name just says Member I think 1,600 posts is more than "member"! I should have... "super hero" under my picture or something of sorts. Juuuust kidding Gus, but isn't it a different name rather than just member?

To receive email alerts for new private messages, go to....

Edit My Profile > General Settings > Private Messaging

... And select the "Receive Email Notification of new Private Messages" radio button.

(Note to Mike: email notification set to "on" should be the default setting)

Sounds like you changed the setting, but if anyone else is wondering, you'd go to...

Edit My Profile > General Settings > Messaging & Notification >

... And select your preferred setting in the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" drop down window.

Try clearing your cookies, now re-visit the site and login, now logout - does this still occur?
